Hi, Glen here – I run ThermoStastic. I’m a tech-nut that not only likes the latest gadgets and appliances, but saving money. After all, who doesn’t like to save money? One thing that has always irked me, until now, is the fact that my energy bills keep going up and up. I’m a programmer, so numbers have always been a strong passion of mine.
Ten years ago, I paid $100 to heat my home in February, and now I’m spending $200+ – it’s not something to jump for joy about.
So, what did I do to change that? I started by replacing my thermostat to figure out how much money I could save. The first model I tried was the Nest, and saving $10 a month wasn’t too bad. Now, I am addicted to trying new thermostats to find which one can help me save the most on my energy bills. And you know what? I decided to track my journey for you to follow.
I review all of the models I have first-hand, and I tell you the good, bad and ugly about each one.
What does my wife think about this whole ordeal?
She thinks I’m crazy, but it puts a smile on my face to help people just like you start to save money on their energy bills and avoid wasting money on thermostats that simply don’t meet their expectations. My reviews are often a little wordy, but I like to provide you with a thorough review of each product. And I’m not afraid to discuss the pros and cons of each model.
It’s turned into a fun experience for me, and I hope that you’ve been able to find the best thermostat for your home thanks to my little hobby.
